I find it very hard to explain it. I don't compete, and it sounds dumb to say, "Oh I'm just training him." I normally just say it's a horsetraining program, and most people just nod their heads like they get it.
It was very cold today, but I wanted to have some real UDT with Tug. Sugar kept bugging me, so I finally put the mares in their stalls while I stood in Tug's with his. He tried to back up to get his head near me once, but he ran out of room and bumped his butt on the wall. I laughed and he just looked at me. Then I stayed with him for a few minutes after I fed everyone. I find it hard to have UDT with Tug when I feel the need to progress, or when I think I need to fix something. But I'm trying to change that. Sugar distracted me today, and made me a little frustrated, but I'm still trying to work on it.
